Change the Newsletter status in bulk of Prestashop customers through PHPmyAdmin

How to mass update the newsletter status of customers in Prestashop.

It could happen. You import your customers into Prestashop and their subscription status to the newsletter gets lost. You may simply want to set them as subscribed but you don’t want to do it one by one. You want to set all the customers in bulk below or above a certain customer ID as subscribed to your prestashop newsletter in one go.

This is a quick post on how to update the newsletter status of customers in Prestashop using PHPmydamin.

by Andrew Brett Watson

I’m going to go out on a limb and say you're here because got the "JSON.parse: unexpected character" etc error while trying to import a CSV into Prestashop, but you can’t see any reason why.

JSON parse unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data when importing CSV into Prestashop

Well it’s so simple to fix it’s stupid. This is an erroneous error because there is actually nothing wrong, well nothing with the code anyway. It’s just that for whatever reason, the paged has timed out and now you are no longer logged in.

What size images should I upload to Prestashop?

by Andrew Brett Watson

Looking for the optimal images size to use with Prestashop? Or perhaps you just want to know what size in pixels images should be saved as in order to upload perfectly to Prestashop.

What size images should I use to upload to Prestashop

Prestashop can accept images of (almost) any size. It automatically reformats the images you upload and saves them according to it’s default image size. Prestashop also resizes the images to generate smaller thumbnails. So the best image size is the largest size that Prestashop uses (for zoomed up images), then the smaller images will be taken care of later.
