Turn on or off Joomla modules on iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices on Gavick Pro templates

iPhone with gavick pro joomla template

I hope this helps people scratching their heads trying to find out how to hide or show Joomla modules on a Gavic pro template

It's as simple as adding a module suffix.

Log on to the administrator backend and click Extensions>module manager

Click on the module you want to alter in the list and then click the basic settings (under options in Joomla 3.0). Once you have the basic settings tab expanded you can add one of the following lines to show or hide the module on iPhones, iPad and other tablets or mobile devices.

NOTE: In all Gavick pro templates for Joomla you need to make sure there is a space before each module suffix (like " onlytablet").

onlytablet – the block will only be visible when tablet.css is loaded

onlymobile – the block will only be visible when mobile.css is loaded

notablet – the block will not be visible when table.css is loaded

nomobile – the block will not be visible when mobile.css is loaded

You can find more information at Gavick Pro responsive layout documentation.

I'm really enjoying my Gavic pro membership, great templates and excellent forum help.
