How to Center Buttons and other elements using external CSS

How to center something width-wise using CSS. In particular this is useful for buttons. Even more particularly I made this to help people to center buttons if the are using Joomshaper SP Pagebuilder. I used this to center the buttons for SP Pagebuilder, but this could also be used for anyone who want to center something horizontally with CSS.

How to factory Re-Set a Brother printer to fix toner, drum and error lights

How to factory Re-Set a Brother printer.

If you have a brother HL-2240, HL-2230, HL-2270DW, or HL-2280DW desktop printer connected to your PC or Mac you will no doubt from time to time get a toner error light or drum error or even just the error light light up.

Sometime this just seams to be the system getting it wrong and sometime it throws up a tuner error light or drum error even though there is still toner left or the drum is still in good enough condition to continue printing.

Here's how to get rid of ANY error light on  your brother HL-2240, HL-2230, HL-2270DW, or HL-2280DW desktop printer by performing a factory reset.

How to install CardDAV on a #Synology Diskstation

How do I install CardDAV on a #Synology Diskstation? <tutorial>

Connect to the CardDAV Server on your Synology Diskstation

Ok you got a Sinology Disktation and you know it can be used to sync contacts across multiple devices using a thing called CardDAV, but you can’t quite see where to set that up? Sounds like me, I could only find a wall of old information on the internet, none of it relevant to a Sinology disk station using  DSM 5.1. (DSM is the operating system of Sinology Disk stations - you find out which operating system your Sinology is using by logging in, clicking the control panel and then clicking the icon; “Info Center”).

I couldn’t find an easy explanation about CardDAV and how to set it up on my Mac, so I decided to find out and then write one (even if you don’t have a Mac the basic installation of CardDAV using your sinology interface will help windows users get started too).

How to search and replace files within a folder or directoy in textwrangler

by Andrew Brett Watson

How do you search and replace text from within a bunch of file or within a folder in Textwrangler.

I started out looking for norm find and replace in the fit menu, I soon found out that "Find" is located in the menu under the "Search" menu (makes sense). Believe it or not I initially tried the normal search and tried to find a way to make t work on a group of files or on all the files in a folder.

I couldn't find the option. Eventually I saw there is a separate option which allows you to search inside of all the files in a directory or even an entire disk. It was so simple:

Search>Multi-file Search (it's right under the Find option in the search menu). Heres a screenshot.

I hope that saves you some time. Once you know where the multi-file search is all you need to know is click the "other" button to choose to folder you wan to search through.

BAD CONFIGURATION FILE uploading a template in Prestashop 1.6

by Andrew Brett Watson

I con't be sure if this will help every time you get the error BAD CONFIGURATION FILE when trying to install a template in Prestashop 1.6. But when I got this error trying out a Leo Theme Prestashop template, it was hard to figure out why at first, in the end I found out the template file (the .zip) was somehow corrupt.

I hope this helps if you are trying to upload a template and get a BAD CONFIGURATION FILE error:

All I did was unzip the template.zip file and re-zip it. Add a comment Read more: BAD CONFIGURATION FILE uploading a template in Prestashop 1.6

How have separate POP inboxes in Microsoft Outlook

How to separate POP accounts on Microsoft Outlook.

Ok, so I am truly sorry but the title of this post: “How to separate POP accounts on Microsoft Outlook” is erroneous because you can’t actually separate POP email inboxes in Outlook. By default Outlook puts all pop account in the emails on this computer inbox. Please don't ask why, that's just the way it is. Here's what you can do about it to get the emails in seperate inboxes:

How to change the avatar, user icon, gravitar on your Gavick Pro #Joomla template.

by Andrew Brett Watson

This one had me scratching my head, but it shouldn’t have: How do I change the user icon on a Gavick pro template?

How to change the avatar, user icon, gravitar on your Gavick Pro template.

The answer is easy, except you need to know that your Gavick Pro Joomla templates often show TWO different icons in different places which will both appear as a default blue and white sideways "g" until you change them. Depending on how your template is set up you may need to configure them both. Heres how:
