How to remove space around a Gavick Pro Joomla template module position.

I wanted to take out the gap abound a modules position from a Gavick Pro joomla template. As I am not that great with CSS I was hoping for a simple module class suffix that would do the job.

Instead I found that removing the padding from a Gavick Pro template required a bit of custom CSS, but don’t worry rather than asume you have any previous CSS knowledge here is a step by step about how you can remove space around a module in Joomla if you are using a Gavick Pro template and don’t have much technical programming knowledge.

How to export data from Joomla or Community Builder to mail merge and create address labels

OK. You want to export data from Community Manager for Joomla in order to print address labels right? Because they only have the customers address on them, you don’t need anything other than the name, street, post code (the usual address lable data), heck you probably already tried exporting data out of community builder using CB Juice and found that it can export the data but it’s not in an address label friendly way and it may not collate the date the way you want so…

Here is an alternative way of exporting you data from Joomla Community Builder in .csv to Mail Merge with Microsoft Word and make Address labels (it’s a bit messy but it will get you there). Read more: How to export data from Joomla or Community Builder to mail merge and create address labels

You want a capture solution for Community build but you don’t want to pay to get the Community Builder version which is only available with a subscription right? Just remember that a lot of work goes into Community Builder.  They only charge for a few things (like reCaptcha) as a way of getting paid for what they do. Always support this where you can. You might think of it as a donation for a great free component (Community Builder).

If you don’t want to pay for reCaptcha for Community Builder then there is a solution available.

It works with Community Builder and Joomla 1.5, 2.5 and 3.x , it’s called CB Recaptcha and you can get it here:

In case that link breaks, you can search for CB reCaptch in the JED (Joomla Extensions Directory)

You will need to get you recaptcha keys at www.recaptcha.net which requires login with a google account.

It’s easy to install into Joomla and Community Builder but you might want the plugin to appear at the bottom of the form. To do this click it in the management area of Community Builder and set the ordering of the pluging to be the last in the list.
