How to remove space around a Gavick Pro Joomla template module position.

I wanted to take out the gap abound a modules position from a Gavick Pro joomla template. As I am not that great with CSS I was hoping for a simple module class suffix that would do the job.

Instead I found that removing the padding from a Gavick Pro template required a bit of custom CSS, but don’t worry rather than asume you have any previous CSS knowledge here is a step by step about how you can remove space around a module in Joomla if you are using a Gavick Pro template and don’t have much technical programming knowledge.

OK. You want to export data from Community Manager for Joomla in order to print address labels right? Because they only have the customers address on them, you don’t need anything other than the name, street, post code (the usual address lable data), heck you probably already tried exporting data out of community builder using CB Juice and found that it can export the data but it’s not in an address label friendly way and it may not collate the date the way you want so…

Here is an alternative way of exporting you data from Joomla Community Builder in .csv to Mail Merge with Microsoft Word and make Address labels (it’s a bit messy but it will get you there). Read more: How to export data from Joomla or Community Builder to mail merge and create address labels

How to view your Joomla Page as an RSS feed:

There are many reasons you will want to view your Joomla website as and RSS feed.
If you use IFTTT to  publish your rss feeds to other services like Facebook or Twitter you may want to know how to view and RSS feed for category blog pages for different categories (as one example).

To do this, simply browse to the page you want the see the RSS feed from and the flowing code the URL:

&format=feed&type=rss

Please note, you might need to use a forward slash at the end of a search engine friendly url for a blog page or article page. In this case the code for showing a Joomla page as and RSS Feed would be:

/&format=feed&type=rss

You will see the RSS feed for that page and can use that to add into another Joomla module or as an IFTTT trigger.

So in the end the URL for your RSS feed would look like this:

http://www.yourdomain.com/bla/bla/bla/?format=feed&type=rss
